“The first wealth is health.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

The second wealth is FREEDOM. Without health, sickness prevails leading to misery and discontent. Without freedom, tyranny prevails leading to oppression and suppression of the spirit.

“Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…” (Matt 6:20) Civil Liberties are God-given liberties; they are not given by man and cannot be taken by man. Be wary of any person who claims to be the solution to problems. The only true solutions come from within oneself.

The man who governs himself has no need of a king or ruler over him. Self-governance comes from within. It comes from sound moral character. It comes from knowing what is right and doing it whether someone is there watching or not. We ~ all humans ~ are created in the image of the Creator ~ the ONE who is the Source of ALL. Just as you are to grow up humanly, physically, there is also a growing up spiritually ~ to grow into the fullness from which you were created. It is an inheritance. It is not something that you have received already; but it is something which you will receive and is yours to inherit, unless you choose to forfeit your inheritance.

Enlightenment is the realization that you and everything that exists comes from ONE Source, that your thoughts and actions affect ~ have an impact ~ positive or negative ~ on everything around you. If you despise another person, plant, animal or thing, you actually despise yourself. People who believe that they have to hurt or destroy others to bring into being a state of condition that they think to be true actually deny truth because in the hurt and destruction of others is destruction of self. Enlightenment holds all things as equal and the realization that all needs are provided by Source. Indeed, there is nothing that we truly need because Source has no need inherently.

An awakening and an awareness of truth is growing globally. A spiritual awakening is occurring as more people become aware of and re-connect back to Source. It is Source that will bring unification of mankind. It is Source that will usher in a period of peace and prosperity. It does not come from a man or a man-made government. It comes from within each and every one of us ~ as humans ~ letting go of prejudices and the need to feel in control of something outside of ourselves ~ to not favor one person or belief over another ~ but to accept everyone equally and to employ control of self. ALL humans are created EQUAL. We ALL have flesh and blood. We ALL need air to breathe. Without breath there is no life. We ALL have the same basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. No one of us is any greater than any other.

Enlightenment begins by connecting to Source, letting go of preconceived ideas or things you were taught by others, and being receptive to Truth as Source leads you into knowledge and wisdom that only comes from Source.

True FREEDOM comes from an individual’s ability to govern himself ~ his thoughts, his physical body, and his outward actions towards others. There is nothing ~ no thing ~ that a person can keep in his heart without it being known by Source. To harbor malcontent towards any other person is to harbor malcontent towards Source. Malcontent or ill-feelings towards any other human being is indicative of you not having forgiven. Forgiveness is elemental to healing. There is a universal symphony being played of which we are all a part. When we show outward and inward love and concern for all living things (the plant and animal kingdoms including the human kingdom), the orchestra plays a beautiful symphony. Emotions that do not lead to love and concern create dissonance and disharmony within the orchestra. The very fabric of the universe is affected. These are the vibrations that affect all of creation. Sound health means free from injury, damage, defect or disease. In its very definition, you can see that freedom is truly the second wealth.

Any person that denies the civil liberties that every person is born with, given to them from the very Source that created them, denies Source and is opposed to it. Such a person would claim that no such liberties exist or hold those liberties as negative to their own agenda. Such a person seeks to be viewed as the source of all good things when, in fact, those “good things” only come through the destruction of others. This is NOT GOOD. True Source does not need to destroy to create. In truth, there is such an abundance in creation, that there is no need to take from one to give to another. Have you ever seen an ear of corn with only one kernel? Or a pomegranate with only one seed? Or a pine tree with only one pine cone containing only one seed? Absolutely NOT. The idea that one needs to take from a group others and distribute what was taken to some who currently do not have is antithesis to Source. To those who currently do not have, all they have to do is seek and they will find, knock and the door will open. There is never lack in truth and not in creation. To say that only a certain amount exists limits Source, limits creation. Source is like water, a well spring which forever flows and the more that flows the greater the abundance and fruitfulness

Take time today to think on these things. Take time to Connect to Source. Ask for Understanding. Ask to be shown Truth. Ask to recognize Truth when it is shown to you. Ask for guidance in every aspect of your life. Just as your human parents would never want to see harm come to you, so too, the very Source that created you seeks to finish the work which was begun in you. Lay hold of these treasures and value them above everything else except Source ~ Health, Freedom, Wisdom and Enlightenment.

Tao Te Ching
22

The partial becomes complete; the crooked, straight; the empty,
full; the worn out, new. He whose (desires) are few gets them; he
whose (desires) are many goes astray.

Therefore the sage holds in his embrace the one thing (of
humility), and manifests it to all the world. He is free from self-
display, and therefore he shines; from self-assertion, and therefore
he is distinguished; from self-boasting, and therefore his merit is
acknowledged; from self-complacency, and therefore he acquires
superiority. It is because he is thus free from striving that
therefore no one in the world is able to strive with him.
[emphasis mine]

That saying of the ancients that ‘the partial becomes complete’ was
not vainly spoken:–all real completion is comprehended under it.

What are memories? What do they have to do with health and healing? Is there a connection? Beyond that is there a connection to memory, health and forgiveness?

Memories are stored in the cells of your body, all the cells of your body. Your body is the memory bank of your life. The brain is the chemical switching station. Think of the brain like a busy train station, trains coming and going constantly day and night. The chemicals in your body are the trains; they carry needed supplies throughout the body and aid in waste removal.

Cellular memory is a phenomenon that came to light with the advent of organ transplants. Organ recipients were reporting stories of liking foods they hadn’t before. They were drawn to interests and activities that hadn’t been of interest prior to the transplant. They also reported having memories of the person whose organ they had received.

Early in transplant history, doctors tried to come up with explanations for these phenomena. In the end, it is the recipients themselves and their stories that have shed light on the fact that our bodies are memory banks. Prior to this, it was assumed that memories were stored in the brain. Somehow, there were unique little places in the brain where all memories were stored. We now know this isn’t totally true. Of all that grey matter sitting up there, we only use about 10% or less. Wouldn’t it be intriguing to find out what the rest of it is used for?

But let’s get back to cellular memory. Many cultures, including ancient cultures, hold a tradition of bodily resurrection. The flip side of this belief is that of reincarnation, where the body is continually reborn. Whichever you believe, the fact that memories are stored at a cellular level doesn’t change.

Let’s examine this a little deeper. If memories are stored in your cells then when you have children it is conceivable that you are passing your memories, at the cellular level (or at least some of them), to your children. Your children in turn would pass along some or all of the memories they received from you as well as their own memories to their children, and so on down the genealogic line.

This progressive passage of cellular memory could be an explanation for what people report as being reincarnation. Somehow, they have accessed deep cellular memories of their ancestors that are so real to them it is as if they have lived the life of their ancestor. This is just my theory.

There are many forms of memories. Memories are created chemically. Trauma creates cellular memory. General injury, something as simple as a cat scratch, creates cellular memory. Feelings and emotions associated with every-day events create cellular memory – events such as a birthday, being with someone, and watching a child’s accomplishment. What makes the memory is the emotion associated with the event or feeling. Every emotion has a chemical co-responder. Emotion is the spiritual connection to the physical. Emotions are stored chemically in your cells, and they stay there until released.

There are emotions that we consider “good” – such as joy, happiness, excitement, elation – and emotions that we consider as “bad” – such as anger, resentment, worry, feeling hurt, and guilt.

The chemical reactions associated with stress are also stored at the cellular level in your body. Stress is now widely recognized as the leading cause of all illness and the cause of upwards of 90% of doctor visits annually.

Can you imagine what a different world it would be if you and those around you could learn to reduce and eliminate the effects of stress on your body?

There are techniques you can learn and do that will reduce the effects of stress, stimulate your immune system to respond better, and help your body to heal itself.

Some of the techniques that can be used to release emotion and the effects of stress from your body right down to the cellular level include Qi Gong (literally energy work), EFT (Emotion Freedom Technique), and applied kinesiology. These three techniques are in the realm of energy work or body work. They use the flow of universal energy and the energy meridians in your body to release stress allowing the body to heal itself naturally.

The body was actually designed to maintain itself. It is capable of maintaining health. The cells in your body are constantly reproducing, right down to the memories that are stored in them. If cell deterioration and cell death were eliminated, there would be no disease and no aging as we know it today. In fact, when you are experiencing disease or illness, it is your body’s way of telling you that something isn’t in harmony – emotionally, physically or mentally – your body’s energy is unsynchronized. When balance and harmony are restored, the body can and does heal itself.

There is another technique, a spiritual technique, that has the same effect of releasing memory at the cellular level – it is Forgiveness. When you forgive, it is as if the experience never happened. It ceases to exist right down to the cellular level. This is the unique power of Forgiveness.

You have only truly forgiven when the event, the memory, ceases to exist. It is as if it never was in the first place.

It is equally as important to Forgive Yourself as it is to Forgive others. If something happened that you hold yourself accountable for and can’t let it go, recognize that whatever it was is in the past, the past is not now unless you re-create it every day by not letting go. It is okay to Forgive Yourself. It is okay to love yourself and be present with yourself in this moment. With this understanding, healing can begin.

This is why forgiveness is so crucial to health and healing. If you haven’t forgiven, there is still a memory somewhere in your cells that is out of harmony. As long as those memories remain, your body is in a state of disharmony, and it can’t heal itself.

I’m going to take this one step further to inherited disease. When your body is in such a state that disease has become manifest, let’s say heart disease just as an example, those cellular memories get passed along to your children. This is why doctors say that certain diseases run in a family or are inherited. You are only inheriting the genetic expression of the cells’ DNA that was known from before.

I am going to go out on a limb here and make the claim that inherited disease can be eradicated if you erase the memory of the disease at the cellular level. It is as if it never happened. This may seem far-fetched and heretical but science is actually beginning to prove this. I am working on a special report that goes into this in much greater detail.

Imagine a world without illness or disease! It would be like a utopia. How long do you think people would live? Cells continually regenerate. The Judeo-Christian Bible says that after the flood, God limited the age of man to 120. There is one person alive today who is reported to be 120, and the oldest person ever recorded was Jeanne Calment who died in 1997 at the age of 122. Of note, the person who is 120 and still alive is a Bedouin woman living in northern Israel. She attributes her age and good health to her diet which is predominantly vegetarian.

According to Dictionary.com, health is the general condition of the body or mind regarding soundness and vigor; vitality; freedom from disease or ailment.

The word “health” comes from the Old English meaning “whole.” So to be in a state of good health is to be in a state of wholeness. You are whole, complete, perfect. Vitality and vigor pertain to life.

Wellness is the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort; it is an approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to an emphasis on treating disease (the symptom) (emphasis mine).

Well-being as defined by WordNet is a contented state of being happy, healthy and prosperous.

It is interesting to note most definitions of well-being include prosperity. Prosperity is a natural state, a divine state, of abundance, and abundance only exists in the universe. Anything less than abundance is a perception.

Well (an adverb) is a gerundive of the verb To Be.

A gerund is a word form derived from a verb used as a noun, i.e. “The saying goes…”; a gerundive is a word derived from an adverbial form used as a noun, i.e. to be, I AM.

Therefore, “well” is an adverbial form of “to be” used as a noun, i.e., “The well-being of the children is at stake.”

Correctly, when speaking of health and someone asks you, “How are you today?” the proper response would be, “I am well.” Well is the verb descriptor (adverb) describing the verb To Be (I am). Somehow, in the last 25 – 30 years, western society (at least in America) has lost this. Speech has a much deeper meaning than we are aware of. Words particularly are very important. This thought alone should be enough for us to take care to guard our speech and think before we speak.

The etymology of “well” is particularly interesting because of it being an adverbial form of “BE.” To be = I am, you are, he/she/it is…  I AM is the creator of all that is (see blog post I WILL BE That I WILL TO BE). Therefore, you are of I AM, you are an intrinsic part of I AM. You are not separate from the “whole” of I AM. Remember “health” is wholeness, not just wholeness of your individual body but “wholeness” as it pertains to the “whole” of creation.

This is a vital clue, a change in perception, that will totally change your “well-being.”

Thoughts are energy. Thoughts take form. Thoughts become your reality. What are your thoughts and how are they affecting your life?

Are you growing spiritually? Are you growing closer to your Divine Purpose? Or are you stagnant, treading water or moving backward down a path of decay?

The Universal Law of Polarity states that there is growth and decay. You can’t tread water and hold a middle ground. No growth is the same as decay. You can only move forwards or go backwards. Where do you fit in? What do you want for your life?

I’d like to quote from Module 22 of How to Master Abundance and Prosperity…The Ancient Spiritual Keys to Success edited by Carlson Hannel Wattles Mentz, JD, MBA, PhD

“Generally, the various forms of inflammation, paralysis, nervousness and diseased conditions are the manifestation of fear, worry, care, anxiety, jealousy, hatred and similar thought. The life processes are carried on by two distinct methods; first, the taking up and making use of nutritive material necessary for constructing cells; second, breaking down and excreting the waste material.

All life is based upon these constructive and destructive activities, and as food, water and air are the only requisites necessary for the construction of cells, it would seem that the problem of prolonging life indefinitely would not be a very difficult one.

However strange it may seem, it is the second or destructive activity that is, with rare exception, the cause of all disease. The waste material accumulates and saturates the tissues, which causes autointoxication. This may be partial or general. In the first case, the disturbance will be local; in the second place, it will affect the whole system.”

So, you might be asking right about now, what does this have to do with your thoughts. Your thoughts control the constructive and destructive processes in your body. Stress and the rampage of effects made by the release of stress-related hormones fall into destructive activity. The waste aftermath of stress remains in your body until you release it. To heal your body, you need to control your thoughts and learn how to use your thoughts to move the waste materials through and out of your body and then use your thoughts to heal your body.

“You will find that everything which we hold in our consciousness for any length of time becomes impressed upon our subsconsciousness and so becomes a pattern which the creative energy will wave into our life and environment. This is the secret of the wonderful power of prayer….therefore, if we wish a change in conditions, all that is necessary is to change our thought; this will in turn change our mental attitude, which will in turn change our personality, which will in turn change the people, things and conditions, or the experiences with which we meet in life.” (module 21) (emphasis mine)

Your thoughts control everything in your world, in your conscious reality and your subconscious reality and manifestation. You will also come to learn that the thoughts of your mother, father, grandparents and other ancestors actually affect who you are; but you will also come to learn that you have the ability to change those affects wrought upon you by your forefathers, through the power of thought. [I am working on a special report that will give you more insight into this.]

“The problem, then, before us in the healing of disease is to increase the inflow and distribution of vital energy throughout the system, and this can only be done by eliminating thoughts of fear, worry, care, anxiety, jealousy, hatred, and every other destructive thought, which tend to tear down and destroy the nerves and glands which control the excretion and elimination of poisonous and waste matter.” (module 22) (emphasis mine)

I concur with this belief 100%; to heal the body, you have to increase the inflow – the amount flowing into you – and distribution, the flow of energy throughout your body, of vital energy – YOUR VERY LIFE FORCE ENERGY – throughout your entire body. This is done through thought primarily and accompanied by physical movement of Qi or Chakra through your body; but even the movement of Qi through your body is accomplished by Intention – that is thought, focused attention on your vital life energy, moving it through your body. The first and most important step emotionally (spiritually), physically, and mentally, in fact, you could call it the KEY is FORGIVENESS. If you cannot forgive 100%, you are still blocking the full effect of healing.

Hear what great teachers of the past have said about FORGIVENESS…

“Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant…hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when you hearest, forgive…Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according to all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men)” 2 Chron 6:21, 30

“Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.” Ps 25:18

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Ps 32:1

“For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” Ps 86:5

“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;” Ps 103:3

“To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him;” Dan 9:9

In forgiveness lies healing, even when you rebel against Source, against your Creator, or against the Universe, mercy and forgiveness are yours to claim. Remember, you come from that very spirit, that very energy, that very life force. You have all the Creator characteristics in you to claim; FORGIVENESS of others, forgiveness of yourself, forgiveness for yourself, is yours to claim as well, and with it comes healing.

One of the most destructive thoughts of man is the act of not forgiving oneself, second to that is not forgiving others. Source will always forgive, all you have to do is ASK to acknowledge to yourself that you are forgiven, because in fact, you are already forgiven.

“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Matt 18: 21-22

Forgiveness is unmeasurable.

“Kind speech and forgiveness is better than charity followed by injury; and Allah is Self-sufficient, Forbearing.” The Koran, The Cow 2.263

“Shaitan threatens you with poverty and enjoins you to be niggardly, and Allah promises you forgiveness from Himself and abundance; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.” The Koran, The Cow 2.268

“The patient, and the truthful, and the obedient, and those who spend (benevolently) and those who ask forgiveness in the morning times.” The Koran, The Family of Imran 3.17

“And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s; He forgives whom He pleases and chastises whom He pleases; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” The Koran, The Family of Imran 3.129 (emphasis mine)

When you can’t forgive, you are not fulfilling your Divine Purpose. Your Divine Purpose is to grow into the fullness of the Creator, Source, Universal Energy from which you were derived. Just as you grow up to reflect your human father, your purpose is to grow up to reflect your Creator Father. This is the wonderful example of nature that is put before us to ever remind us that we are growing spiritual beings. We are not evolving. We are growing and growth involves change and maturing. Are you ready to step into your Divine Purpose? Embrace the characteristics of Source and make them your own. Forgive just as your Father would forgive, reflect the image from which you come.

Chapter 16 Decay and Renewal of the Tao Te Ching by Peter Merel

“Empty the self completely;
Embrace perfect peace.
The world will rise and move;
Watch it return to rest.
All the flourishing things
Will return to their source.This return is peaceful;
It is the flow of nature,
An eternal decay and renewal.
Accepting this brings enlightenment,
Ignoring this brings misery.

Who accepts nature’s flow becomes all-cherishing;
Being all-cherishing he becomes impartial;
Being impartial he becomes magnanimous;
Being magnanimous he becomes natural;
Being natural he becomes one with the Way;
Being one with the Way he becomes immortal:
Though his body will decay, the Way will not.”

Many belief systems have forgiveness as an integral part of faith and healing.

With Forgiveness comes Peace. When you are Peace, you can connect fully to Source. When you connect fully to Source, you experience healing emotionally, physically and spiritually.

To learn more about Forgiveness and how you can come to forgive others, I recommend Soul to Soul by Gary Zukav.

Begin practicing Forgiveness and begin your journey to whole body healing.
